After the “Shaking Trees“ release on Harthouse it is time for the first mix compilation by Joey Beltram on Harthouse. The New York born and raised techno global player is an institution in the international producer scene and a legend behind the decks. The founder of STX Records started Djing at the age of 13 in 1983 and released his first records in 1989. Remarkable is the remix of Beyer’s “Swedish Silver” and in general the enormous output this artist showed in his carreer. The list of labels where he released his music is so long, the head becames giddy of reading it. (Tresor, Warp, Visible, Trax, Warp, Logic, X-Sight, Transmat, Permanent, DMC, Moonshine, Bush, KMS – just to give an extract). This mix compilation shows the enormous abilities of the DJ Joey Beltram and surprises with his musical honesty. With tracks from Alex Under, Dustin Zahn (Kyle Geiger Remix), Len Faki, Oliver Huntemann, Timo Garcia & Ken Fan, Paco Osuna, Adam Beyer, Braincell (Grindvik Remix), Brian Sanhaji (Chris Liebing Remix), Jamie McHugh, Kyle Geiger and some of his own productions of course Beltram mixes a DJ set with an immovable and unerring plot, difficult wraps and a lot of technical roughness a DJ set should have. You can hear the working artist by listening to this record, feel the vinyl between your fingertips and smell the fog machine. On this compilation you will not find any intellectual minimalism or artificial electro made out of plastic. On this compilation only the real techno counts, the weightily beats and basses, the chinking high hats and the weird sounds. order order

The night was very long. The head feels like a small tin where the mixed vegetables are swimming in salty water. Standing on the wet black pavement of this scant lighted street where the orange light of the street lights turn everything in fruits covered with a thin layer of vanilla sauce somehow the thoughts are joking with awareness. Many questions should be answered now: Why are all the windows dark? Should there be more orange light so that it seems it would be possible to eat the street to get home fast? Well, eating the street. Eating the street until the door of home arrives in front of the face. And then eating everything that surrounds the house. The rest that would be still there could be silence, could be solitude or nothing. Walking to the next station? No. Laying down here for sleep? Under no circumstance. Waiting until something happens? Maybe the first people going to work? Passing by? Never. But wait – there are some car lights coming closer. It’s a taxi. Ok, stop it and get in. The instruction to the
driver: Get me home. And he drives a never ending ride. There is nothing left to say. From the moment he started the engine it was clear this ride is home. Laying the head back. Enjoying the race of lights running through the cabin of the car, the endless transforming reflections on the windows. Everything passing by outside is like the blurred colour of a huge painting. Then the sleep arrives…finally.

“T a x i” is the 4th album of nor elle aka Terry Lee Brown Junior. After “Phantom Of Life” (1998), “Slapstick” (2001) and “Kombologi” (2006) nor elle defines his own borders of down beat and lounge once again. Concentrating on wide scapes reduced melodic insinuation this time, the album seems to work as a screen.
Like a movie without dialoque or a documentary without comments the music gives room for own imaginations and projections. Creating an atmosphere of a nocturnally taxi ride Terry gives a theme, but the rest is up to the listener. Where the taxi drives, how fast or slow, wether the driver is a good or bad one may depend on the mood of the one who to dives into the calm and fantastic world of these wonderful narrative
tracks. No instruction is included but leaning back and letting fantasy fly over a warm street at a coast, through a forest or the centre of an illuminated city. With this album Nor Elle created a masterpiece of
emotionally charged music with the right instinct for great room effects and innovative sounddesign.

Safiye – Come Come (dllp/daredo music)

In the biography of every artist, there is always that one moment, that one situation which determines everything. The circumstance which strengthens the will. The will to start a career and to live this career unquestioning. When Safiye – just two years of age – moved to Germany with her family, her mother died. From that moment on music was her sorrow, her consolation, her hope. But at the same time, music meant secrecy and something forbidden. The youngest of five siblings, she was born near the Syrian border in Turkey. She wasn’t allowed to sing, let alone listen to music. Her father had forbidden it. At night, when the family was asleep, she would smuggle a small cassette deck into her bed. She would place a pillow over it so that she could softly listen to pop music, which she was constantly and desirously sponging. Popmusic, which was growing into her own Vision to reach one goal: to leave parental home as fast as possible, to be self-subsistent, to live a life without prohibitions, to start a career. Safiye..s Vision was Popmusic with oriental influences. After Safiye was crowned Germany’s most beautiful Turkish women through the “Miss Germany Association”, the stages where she musically performed grew in size . In 2006 she landed her first direct hit in the Turkish community with her song “Why Do I”. One year later, she sang the song “Ya Habibi” with the Egyptian Superstar Hisham Abbas. Safiye was in the focus of the international music scene. Since the end of 2007, together with the successful music producer, Peter Ries, who has been responsible for the sounds of the No Angels, N’Sync, Beyoncé and Kylie Minogue, she has found energetic support in collaboration on her first album and also her first single “Come Come.” DOWNLOAD SINGLE
