Actually we don’t have to introduce Terry Lee Brown Junior because Norman Feller is one of the very early Plastic City artists and part of the international elite house scene for years. He had a lot of success with his four international well respected albums “Brother For Real” (1996), “Chocolate Chords” (1997), “From Dub ‘Til Dawn” (2000) and “Karambolage” (2006). At the moment, his 5th album “Softpack” turns on the wheels of steel around the globe and recently number 11 of his high quality mix compilation series “Terry’s Café” was released on Plastic City. The new Single “Wait”, that Terry did with Robert Manos who gave his wonderful warm and soulful voice to this tune, burn the clubs. So it’s time for some unbelievable remixes – and here we are with part 1 of “Softpack” Remixes! order order

Forteba – For Some Time Past (Plastic City)

When Forteba’s first album “Space Between Us” was released on Plastic City in 2007, the listeners and critics were convinced by the clear sound and the clear intention Krisztián Dobrocsi followed with this debut. It was a getaway from every day life with senstive sounds in a relation chip with music that became equal with a loved person and it allowed the listener to throw all negative feelings in the box the beats built by giving them a stream into space of consciousness. Since then he worked on the second album while touring through the world and working with his beside project as Krisztián Decay where he convinces as lounge producer. Now it is time for his second album “For Some Time Past” to explore the world and to shape it with a new facet of deep electronic house music. Born and raised in Hungary Krisztián started to produce electronic music at the age of eighteen with chill-out and breakbeat, but soon took the next step into the world of four-to-the-floor rhythms. Building his studio in 1999 with his friend Gábor Pasztorális both started releasing music as Le Garage on various Hungarian labels. Around the same time Krisztian got to know P60’s Zoltán Nagy, a Drum’n'Bass DJ who would subsequently hire Krisztián for post-production services in P60’s deep house department. From 2002 to 2004 he founded a lounge band with his friend Gero, playing in switzerland. Today he is using his Forteba alias only for his deep house releases. With the new album “For Some Time Past” Krisztián Dobrocsi shows again his talent to create a deepness that does not seems to be wet. The listener will not find a culmination of room effects that are overlaying the dreamful core of the tracks. It is impressing how he concentrates on the elements and their absolute effect they have on the arrangements. In Tracks like “Snowfall”, “Exxed” or “For Some Time Past” Krisztián shows how straight deepnes can be. Otherwise he proves with tracks like “Dizoxin”, that also appeared on the “Plastic City Radio Show” compilation, “Piko” or “Second” how deep and emotional dancefloor oriented tracks can move an audience. Experimenting with emotions in a levelheaded an measured way Forteba created an album that is free from euphoria by what it is possible to watch the feelings through a magnifying-glass. order order

Dubai the city of superlatives on the Arabian Gulf seduces all those who aim high, since it is here where the future is happening: Fantastic buildings, overwhelming luxury and the desire for more turn the Arabic hotspot into a world of experience that melts science fiction and Tales from a Thousand and One Nights to a unit. Accordingly, the clubs of the metropolis are just as demanding. Each club has its own personality and fascinates with breathtaking interiors and a lineup with the very best international DJs of house music. The suitable soundtrack for unforgettable nights in Dubai appears just in time when the club season starts- that is in fall, at the end of Ramadan- and it’s called “A night out in Dubai”. DJ Hildegard and Jérome Noak arrange exquisite tracks for a perfect night in boom-town. Perfectly fitting into the lineup of the famous clubs, “A night out in Dubai” enthuses with tracks and remixes of “The Shapeshifters”, “Axwell”, “Michael Gray”, “Eddie Thoneick” and many more. For this impulsive sound voyage, the master of the soundtrack, Jérome Noak, asked the House icon DJ Hildegard for her cosmopolitan support. Her mixture of house music, pop, electro and techno is characterized by the fine selection of international turntable heroes- a principle that also dominates her promotion and booking agency “Music meets Hildegard”. “A night out in Dubai” is already the 4th edition of the successful “A night out…” series, which represents the sounds of the great metropolises like Eivissa, Amsterdam and Barcelona and which invites its fans to some egregious nightly sound-city-trips order order

Memet feat. Katerina – Devotion (mp3 EP) – Plastic City
October 9, 2008, 11:53 pm

It all started back at 1993 when Memet started listening to that new sound that came out those days, after his first trip to london and to legendary clubs of that period he decided to focus on that new style of music. He visited London again and again collecting records and ideas for parties and clubs from that period. He has been spining in events and parties for over a decade on the island of Rhodes, Athens and around Greece. At the year 2000 he founded “The Mojo Bar”, a small bar is dedicated to the underground dance music and its still the key venue for all the underground house heads on Rhodes island. From 2001 till 2006 he had organized some of the best day time beach parties that Rhodes island has ever seen. Katerina Papatheodorou´s musical soul was carved in Manchester’s dark clubs and bars. While studying sociology and psychology, her student room was decorated with turntables, speakers and records, but her real love was in writting her own songs. Actually, Katerina lives in Rhodes (Greece) and spends most of the time in the recording studio.
