“We always wished to have it (at least we thought since the beginning of the year), but never got the possibility to do it: Our very own Plastic City Radio Show. So we recorded an imagined radio show hosted by Kriss Dior. And who could be better for this job as the man with the right radio show experience: Kriss Dior aka Bassface Sascha?” As Bassface Sascha he is one of the german Drum and Bass pioneers and started his first own radio show “Reload” on Evosonic Radio in 1997. From 1999 to 2003 Sascha had his second radio show called “Outbreak “ on hr/XXL till the radio station was closed and transformed to You.FM. Kriss Dior, who is one of the early Plastic City artists, made an outstanding DJ mix for this release. Starting with soft ambient and breakbeat tunes, he lifts his mix up to the next level when the four-to-the-floor rhythm arrives in his mix. Then he leads us through all kinds of atmospheres that are possible in TechHouse and House. Using the different kinds of kicks and bass in a very intense and interesting order as well as handling with chords of different rhythmic styles shows the experience of 17 years working as a DJ. The mix breathes, it pulsates between strain and relaxation. After 77 minutes, 20 seconds and 23 tracks later, Kriss Dior brings his Plastic City Radio Show, filled with a few jingles of course, to an end with some surely surprising downbeat sounds and we listened to the huge DJ skills of a man, who experienced and formed a decade of electronic music in more than one genre. On Plastic City the founder of Smokin’ Drum Recordings who also appeared several times as guest VJ on MTV and Viva, fuses his unique sound together with strong TechHouse grooves and relaxed house sounds. And now there is nothing more to say but enjoy the mix, listen to the seamless changing of melodies and let the manyfold rhythms lead you in the right mood to have a special electronic music experience. Available Formats: CD, 2LP, mp3.
We just like to add that while working on this CD it has resulted that we actually produce our own “Plastic City Radio Show”. This radio show is broadcasted once a week on Radio Ibiza Sonica and in the Internet since August 13, 2008. Another placements at further radio stations are in progress. Every wednesday Gorge & Greg Silver present the latest Deep- and Tech-House tunes between 10pm and 11pm. Coincidence or not – appositly to the release of this CD at least. “Electronic Injection & Active Agent” had been more than simple label compilations where just a cross section of artists added a track. Harthouse is setting a really high standard since their relaunch last year. The sounds parts are a pretty good match, interlock and have a quite reasoned basis. Harthouse has been one of the most important electronic institutions for the last fourteen years with names around as Sven Väth, Alter Ego, Der Dritte Raum, Spicelab, Hardfloor or Resistance D. – to name a few. Therefore it’s not surprising that as a corollary the “Mirror Of The Future” shows you the meaning behind Harthouse! “Mirror Of The Future” is the new groundbreaking composition from Harthouse – highly epidemic and instantly causes addictive behaviour. The wisely assorted collection of artists is a clue for how high the bar has been raised and you can look forward to the adverse effects. Quite varied artists unify within a incomparable fusion which resembles a suspenseful myth. “Mirror Of The Future” quickly dispreads through the whole body and lets appear everything in a clearer, more powerful and detailed way than one is accustomed to. The big names of the 90ies go hand in hand with the new talents – a well balanced mixture of well known ingredients and innovative substances whereas the heroes from the hour of birth are in no way inferior to the newcomers and sound newer than ever. Boris Brejcha did a marvelous mix for the CD Version (on the mp3 version you can find the all tracks in full lenght plus the dj-mix as one additional file). Boris Brejcha stands for Harthouse, with his productions like: “Die Maschinen sind gestrandet” or “Arche Noah” he celebrates bis success. Der Dritte Raum, Hardfloor, Braincell, ADJD, Spicelab, Dachshund, Anderson Noise, Scan X, Rocha & Lewinger, Leandro Gámez and many more aim at bulls eye and definitely hit it! Available formats: CD, 3LP, mp3.

After his System EP that he produced with I-Kie Nicola Gala returns to Plastic City and with Blueberry he brings back his minimal styled House Sound to the german label with a fine tradition concerning electronical House. After playing on spots around the world like Stockholm, Cologne, Jakarta, Tokyo, Tel Aviv or Kiev the greek artist founded his own digital label Escada in 2006. With his gripping Basslines and melodical flights he thrills on labels like Deep Records, Intrinsic, Fokused, Sprout Music, Presinct, Renaissance, Lost Language, Audio Therapy and other for ten years. So why should it be different on Plastic City!? Blueberry ist an emotional and warm housetrack that pushes the dancefloor with it’s catchy bassline, lightweight melodic synths and strong chords to the max. Stryke’s Deep Blue Dub attacks the dancefloor with a more minimal arrangement but with the right feeling for musical accents. He takes out the central elements of the original and creates his own interpretation, searching the essence of Blueberry. With Redberry Gala gives us the erotic flavour we don’t want to miss in House Music. So keep an eye for this upcoming artist! Promo Downloadlink: plax065.

Gorge aka Pit Waldmann released his tracks and mixes on labels like Mylo, CNR, Amused, Starlet and other. With Nick Curly he founded his own label 8Bit. Furthermore you can hear him together with Greg Silver in the House Edition Radio Show on Sunshine Live every saturday as well as in the new Plastic City Radio Show on Radio Ibiza Sonica every wednesday 22 – 23pm. Using different pseudonynms he produces electronic music in more than one category. Hearing the new single from Gorge it seems he slices this three tracks to big pieces of love and everybody gets one of it. The clear and simple arrangements create beautiful appearances of soft and light energy in mind, body and soul. This three tracks will take you on a ride through your inside and you will skim over the waves we promise. Gorge dives into hypnotizing organ chords that are sorting this weird whipping stabs. He creates a room that is filled with little species building swarms, moving homogeneously from one point to the next like they would be steered by a power we can’t see but explore and experience. The combination between rhythmic synths and dramatically melodic strings pushes the tracks straight to the point of no return while building tight textures. So dance and go deeper and deeper… Promo Downloadlink: plax066.

DKMA presents Andrastea – Rhino Horn (mp3 EP)
Dana Kelley’s sound and music has made a major impact on the House scene since 1995. Growing up in Roxbury Massachusetts, in a single parent household, Dana’s musical influence started with his mother. Ophelia played numerous R&B hits that are considered classics by today’s house folk. George Benson, MFSB, O’Jays, and Herbie Hancock. Ophelia enrolled her children into the Elma Lewis School of Performing Arts, where he excelled as a classical violinist, selected as a Suzuki violinist, was chosen with 5 other students to play for Chinese embassy. Music is not the only passion, art as a whole was exposed to Dana. At the age of 16, Dana demonstrated a flair for fashion illustration, and won a 2 year scholarship to the Museum School of Fine Arts. In 1994, Dana approached DJ Bruno at Boston Beat with a cheesy demo of tracks he was working on. Bruno called Dana and told him to stop sitting on the music, and recommended house labels to send a demo to. Kult, Strictly Rhythm and Eightball received demos, and 3 days later Gladys Pizzarro called with an offer Dana could not refuse. “Krimp” was born, a name derived from the locks Dana cut the day before to look for work in Boston. This was the beginning of something truly special. Dana played also a part in the UK revolution called Speed Garage. A bassline from “In the Spirit” was sampled numerous times and was released on Strictly Rhythm as “Praxis featuring Kathy Brown – Turn Me Out”. Beside a lot of releases on labels like Strictly Rhythm, Contrast Records, 4th Floor Recordings, Chug Recordings and Subliminal Records he also released on Plastic City under the name “DKMA presents Andrastea”. Now Dana is back with his fresh new EP “Rhino Horn”.
